Foundation Options
The right foundation depends on your building type, soil, and how you plan to use it. Here are the most common options.
Concrete Slab
Best for garages, workshops, and enclosed buildings. Gives you a smooth, clean floor. Usually 4 inches thick with rebar. Plan for $4 to $8 per sq ft for the slab.
Gravel Pad with Ground Anchors
Good for carports and open structures. Cheaper than concrete. Provides drainage and keeps mud down. Ground anchors keep the building secure.
Concrete Piers
Used for larger ag buildings on soft soil. Piers go deep into the ground for extra stability. Your installer will tell you if piers are needed.
