COMMON QUESTIONS

“Do I need a permit?”

No permit needed for portable buildings in most North Texas areas — they sit on blocks, not a foundation. Most cities just require 5 ft off any fence line and placement in the backyard. Bigger than 10×20 sometimes needs a permit depending on your yard size vs. building size — large lots typically pass no problem. We'll help you check.

“How long until I get it?”

In-stock buildings: 1–2 weeks for delivery scheduling. Custom order: 3–4 weeks build time plus delivery. We'll give you an exact window when you submit your info.

“What if I don't see what I want?”

Call us — we'll design it with you and build it to order. Same width-based deposit schedule. Free delivery. Takes 3–4 weeks to build.

“Is this a lease? Do I own it?”

It's rent-to-own — you own it at the end of the term. You only pay for the months you rent, and every payment works toward the cash price. Think of it as month-to-month with 36, 48, or 60-month terms. No penalty to pay off early. No hidden fees.

“What if I want to put more down?”

Extra payments after the sale go into a customer reserve — like a savings account for your building. It comes off the end of your contract and protects you if you ever miss a future payment.

“Can I lower my monthly payment?”

Yes — put $500 or more down and it subtracts directly from the cash price, which lowers your monthly payment. This is called a Buy Down. It also eliminates the deposit.

“What if I want to pay cash? Do I get a discount?”

We build the highest quality sheds at the best prices — our cash price IS the best price, whether you pay outright with cash, check, or money order, or decide to use RTO. Two options for cash buyers: half down and half on delivery, or pay it all upfront so you don't have to fuss with paying the driver on delivery day.

“Do you offer credit-approved financing?”

Your best bet is your local credit union for premium rates. But if you don't have that relationship, it's a lot of paperwork and "go get these documents." We offer credit-approved financing — currently around 18% — with little hassle and no money down. Talk to the sales office for a link to apply.

“What's it built with?”

🪵4x6 pressure-treated skids — ground-contact rated. Not 4x4 non-treated.
🔩2x6 notched floor joists — 16" on sheds, 12" on garages. Not 2x4.
🏗LP ProStruct T&G decking — 10-yr waterproof. LP Legacy (lifetime) on garages. Not OSB.
🏠House-grade 2x4 studs, 16" OC — doubled every 4 ft, tripled in corners.
🛡LP SmartSide® siding — 50-year warranty. Not T1-11 or plywood.
🎨Urethane paint — 1-coat, 20-yr. $150/gal retail. Not alkyd enamel.
🏆30-year metal roof w/ OSB backer — wind-rated, zero maintenance.

“Will my riding mower fit?”

Yes. Our double doors are 69" wide × 76" tall, and our 6' and 9' rollup doors fit all residential mowers, most golf carts, and some UTVs. If you can drive it through your garage door, it fits through ours.

“Do you offer shelving and workbenches?”

Yes. We offer a 24" deep 2-tiered workbench designed to go under all our windows, and 16" deep 3-tiered shelves that are 5' tall. Order by the footage on both. Both use our premium composite 10-year waterproof 5/8" flooring for a durable surface.
